  1. Functional regions are ordered according to following criteria: (1) positive loads; (2) negative loads; (3a) central -anterio-posterior cortices, i.e. primary sensorimotor areas first, followed by areas of the frontal lobes, the parietal lobes, (3b) subcortical structures and (3c) cerebellum. Indented areas belong to the preceding cluster. Coordinates (x,y,z) are given in Talairach space. The two rightmost columns represent the presence of a given brain area in the conjunction images (see Fig. 5); where '++' = 100% overlap, '+' = 50% overlap, '-' = no overlap. MCI: mean component image; conMCI: conjunction of PCS that constitute a mean component image; conMCIS: conjunction of PCs that correlate significantly with a given MCI, but were not included in its computation (see Methods for details). 'Additional Areas' lists areas present in the conjunctions, but not the MCI. pACC: paralimbic anterior cingulate cortex; CMA: cingulate motor area; MI: primary motor cortex; SI: primary somatosensory cortex; SII: secondary somatosensory cortex; SMA; supplementary motor area c.: cortex; g.: gyrus; R: right; L: left. (...) according to Schmahmann's nomenclature of the cerebellum [60]
