Experimental design. The experiment consisted of one fatigue-inducing physical task session performed between two magnetoencephalography sessions. During the 10-min fatigue-inducing physical task session, participants performed maximum-effort handgrips of 1 s duration every 4 s with the left hand guided by visual and metronome sound cues. Before and after the physical task session, 3-min MEG recordings were obtained during the eyes-closed state
